Choose the perfect gardening pot

Water and light might be the most important elements to keep your plants healthy, but choosing the pot might not be so easy. The right pot will affect the quality of the soil, the roots and the plant’s growth. You can go for a terra cota, ceramic or plastic pot. Next would be deciding on the right colors and shapes to following your garden’s theme.

Prepare your soil

To promote the growth of your plants, prepare the soil by adding organic ingredients and fertilizers. Check the soil’s acidity and drain it properly to avoid standing water collection.

Find the right plant for you

Just like people, plants have different characters and needs. Some are easy-going, low-maintenance and adaptable, while others require more attention. If you are looking for the easy-going plants, you should consider an Aloe Vera, Lucky Bamboo and spider plants. However, if you like a challenge, a difficult character might be Orchids, Roses, Jasmine and Hydrangeas.
Why not trying aromatic plants like basil, mint, coriander along with some cherry tomatoes or even strawberries for your fresh salad on a hot day.

Follow the plant’s tag or description

Sun lovers need to be exposed to light, while shade love corners and cozy spots. Give your plants a good start in life by checking their light preferences.

Keep them hydrated!

Not all plants need the same amount of water. Try making a habit of checking on your houseplants at least once a week to see if they need a drink until you understand them better. All you need to learn is how to look at your green babies and observe if there is any wilting leaves! Enjoy taking care them by choosing a practical hose or for space saving, you can go for a watering can, keep it colorful to have it blend in with your decorative items.

Give them a nice trim every season

It’s necessary to trim and remove dying leaves from your plant, this helps the plant send energy to the healthy leaves. Make sure you have gardening gloves for your safety and a manual trimmer or opt for a good electric one.

So, what are you waiting? Time to breathe nature in your home!

Aside from plants and flowers, there are few other elements that will help make your balcony or patio shine! Add some outdoor accessories, good nice lighting and a comfortable outdoor set and enjoy your own space.
